Carrier Access
At Premier it is always our intention to get our agents subcode access to carriers as fast as possible. In some cases, in order to obtain direct access with some carriers, there is a production level that must be met or evidence of production that aligns with the carriers preferred clientele and flow. (Those production levels are always lowered for PGI agents versus standalone locations seeking an appointment outside of PGI.)
If a carrier is not ready to grant you an appointment, there are still opportunities to write under PGI’s House Code or Premier Plus Programs.
– You get a subcode or agent code from the carrier to write under.
– You can write directly with the carrier, without help of PGI Trainers.
The perks that come with having direct access:
– Sweep account capabilities
– Access to Loss Runs & Production Reports
– Administrator Rights ( add/delete producers in your office, reset passwords & update agency information)
– Carrier Promotions
– Intimate relationships with your carriers
– An easier ability to manage the details of your book
– Often it also means, your name/agency name on the carrier paperwork
***With a few carriers production requirements must be met in order to continue having direct access. If this happens, please don’t be alarmed, one of the benefits of belonging to a group is retaining access even when a carrier wants to revoke access (In Many Cases- Not all). ***
– You write under PGI’s group house code, a code shared by other agents.
– You can write directly with the carrier, without help of PGI Trainers.
How Premier Plus Program Access Works:
– You write under PGI’s Premier Plus Program group code. Shared by other agents.
– The program is meant to be temporary & to give you time to build your book with the carrier until it is satisfactory for their requirements to get direct access with the carrier.
– You are supervised by PGI Trainers.
– Your commissions are incentivized to write within the carriers Target Business appetite.
– NO sweeps or cash payments.
– Please remember to add your clients into Ezlynx, it helps us to effectively get you pertinent information regarding your policies.
– If writing under Premier Plus, make sure to have your Trainer add their name to each policy in EZL & denote if the policy is Target Business
– Without the use of Ezlynx it is often impossible to know which agent the policy belongs to. This can affect our ability to pay you for the policy and your ability to service the policy in a timely manner.
No cash, money orders, or sweep payments
– Until you have your own codes, we cannot do a sweep payment under main office codes because it charges to Premier’s accounts, not yours.
