05/25/2022 - Lighthouse Business Update

To all Louisiana agents:

 

Please note that all Lighthouse Excalibur Insurance Company (LEX) policies will be canceled effective 12:01 am on June 22, 2022. As we currently do not have catastrophe reinsurance coverage beyond May 31, 2022, please move all LEX policies to a new carrier As Soon As Possible. Please note that the linked Notice of Cancellation Letter will be mailed to our Louisiana policyholders.

 

We have identified one carrier in the final stages of approval of its certificate of authority, Cajun Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange (CURE). CURE is interested in a cancel/rewrite of several thousand LEX Louisiana policies, and if approved, will be contacting your agency about how to efficiently move this portion of the LEX book. Please be on the lookout for more communications from CURE and LEX.
