08/08/2022 - Changes to Nationwide CA Personal Auto Bill Plan
Hello Premier Agents,
Important changes for CA in effect 7/31
Nationwide’s goal is to provide an affordable product and quality customer service for California drivers. Inflation, increased accident severity, higher cost of repairs, and longer repairs times are market challenges that many personal auto carriers are working to navigate. As such, Nationwide will require a 6-month down payment for all personal auto insurance policies as of July 31, 2022.
All new personal auto business quoted going forward with an effective date on July 31, 2022, or after will require the 6-month down payment.
Per applicable Independent Contract Agent Agreements, Nationwide expects California producers to faithfully adhere to our guidance and procedures, including those pertaining to down payment requirements.
